First Practice of the 2013 season!

We came together tonight for the first cross country practice of the 2013 season!

Old friends mixed with new friends......

but everyone was happy to be there!

 We laced up.......

  and listened intently......

especially the siblings of former runners who have cheered on this team for years.......

 We introduced our new Coach, Susan Patel....we are so happy to have her on our team in this role!

We warmed up......

 and we ran.......

 rain drops falling....we ran.....

 and it felt good to push ourselves.....

 and see that finish line up ahead......

And the magic of this team was already there as people encouraged others...and the first runners to finish.....finished ......and went back into the woods.....all on their own..... to run with the newer runners. Welcome to Cross County and a team full of heart. 

 The kids were even introduced to the Beast! What a way to jump right in!

 We were a wet, soggy mess when the practiced ended......

 But we came together and cheered our Gator cheer........

 and we were happy.......

It's the beginning of yet another magical season.....can't you feel it?

Getting ready for next week

Runners from last year met for a little run at E.P. tonight!

It was a time to reconnect......run......

and remember what it felt like to be new to the team so we remember how to best welcome our new team mates to Goshen XC!

After we all headed over the the Bluemile.......

The store was a flurry of activity as excited runners checked out out socks, shoes and everything else!

 We ate pizza......

 and many of us when home with hew kicks for practice next week!

Parent Meeting

Thank you all for coming to the XC Parent Meeting! We discussed the season and passed out forms for spirit wear items. These will be available at the first few practices as well and are due August 15th.
We will be sending out notes for anyone that missed it...and as always if you have ANY question please don't hesitate to ask! It was great to see new and old faces! It's going to be an awesome season!

6:30 pm at Creasy

Thursday, July 25- BLUE MILE NIGHT
6-9pm Open House at Blue Mile at the Summit. Pizza and drinks and time for shoe recommendations from their staff. Fun night and a great discount for our team!
