Running is a gift.......

When it gets hard.....remember how lucky you are....running is a gift......

Franklin County Invitational!

It was a beautiful day to run at the Kentucky Horse Park!

The kids have settled into the meets by now and know what to expect...and they are really starting to enjoy their time together!

Everyone got ready in their own way today.......

Many Danced......

some put on special shoes.......

some talked and huddled about their race plans.......

and some of us stayed right where we felt the most comfortable.....

Sure their is a bit of hose poop to dodge......but you can't beat the setting! It's a beautiful place to run!

The field was big...but our girls were running brave as the gun sounded to start the race!

It's always so impressive to see them try so hard!

Coming into the finish line...it was a long line of green and yellow!

Our boys were ready to rock n roll today too!

When it was over....and you looked around...there were boys holding ribbons, trophies, and medals galore!

But more than the awards....what you saw was the look of accomplishment on faces.......

And friends and families telling each other how happy...how proud...they were of everyone!

It was just the icing on the cake that our girls took first place.....

and so did our boys!

WAY TO GO GATORS!!!!!!!

Think about how far you have come, Gators....since the first practice! We are so proud of you!

North Oldham Cup

I will preface this post with this....I am not going to put a caption after every amazing picture Predip Patel has taken on my posts anymore.....I think the caption takes away from his beautiful pictures and lets face it...you can tell his pictures from mine! ;)

It was the day of the North Oldham Cup and we had a title to defend! This meet is just awesome...it's small...the kids know the course and well, it's just a lot of fun!

The girls race started lickety split.....

and we cheered on our Gator Girls with great pride!

As they came into the finish line it was pretty clear the girls had this win in the bag....it was one green and yellow uniform after another!

Now it was time to see what the boys had in their tank......

And as they sprinted into the finish line they looked like they too had this win in the bag!

The kids love getting their medals....they are so proud...of themselves....

and each other......

Our Gator runners had shined...now it was time to see if our Gator parent runners could live up to the Goshen name.....

They tried......

and although our parent runners came in last place....the kids were so proud of their parents!
"That's my mom"!!!!!........just warms the heart........

It was a special day of rainbow Gatorade slushies from the Erwins and the Nevilles......

We gathered for awards.....

and one after another our Gators came up to collect their trophies!

And then we were presented with the big one.....we won!!! The North Oldham Cup was going back to Goshen!!!!

Way to Rock the House, Gators!!!!!

we gathered for picnic fun, family time, and cake!

It was a great North Oldham Cup!
