Shelby County Invitational

We arrived...one at a time and gathered at our Goshen tent! Everyone was excited!

We put up our new banners and if I do say so...they looked amazing!

Everyone got ready.....numbers were put on.....

The team was gathered.....

and then we walked over for the walk thru.....

We stretched.....

and the top 7 girls headed to the start line for their first race of the season...

The gun went off and our girls were amazing!

With the gun shot....they were off and running......

but had a false start and had to go back......and do it again......

They got off for the second time...this time for real!

They were also amazing! These boys never quit until they crossed the finish line!

The start line for the open race was long......

and it ended up being a problem....

false start one......of two......

After two false starts and a spike to the head injury they decided to split up the boys and the girls open race...thank goodness!

But our girls were ready no matter what!

But the day was about so much more than that......

it was about starting something and finishing it.....

giving just a little bit more......

encouraging.....and supporting.....

being in a race for the very first time......
